The Fantasy Whisperers is a community driven platform that shares and creates engaging fantasy football related content. Co-owners John Hicks and Travis Caples provide fantasy football advice, podcasts, YouTube channel content, articles, and collaborations with other personalities within the fantasy sports community. According to John, one of their favorite endeavors is their 24-Hour Mock Draft Marathon. He recently told me, “We do 24 hours of live mock drafts and get a bunch of fantasy football accounts to jump on during the stream to mock draft with us. This will be our second year doing it, and it is such a fun way to engage with the community while also getting accounts more recognition.” The 2020 24-Hour Mock Draft Marathon is set to begin Saturday, August 8th, at 1pm EST and it will wrap up on Sunday, August 9th, at 1pm EST.

Johnny “Game Time” Hicks and “Big Travy”, the names John and Travis often go by, used to talk nonstop about their fantasy football league. A league that is fittingly named “The Only League That Matters”. The thought of starting a podcast began with that nonstop chatter in mind. They realized that one of the main reasons that they loved playing fantasy football was because it brought people together and provided a sense of belonging. They decided that what they truly desired was to build a fantasy football community where people could come together and gain that same sense of belonging while enjoying the game that they loved. The passion that Game Time and Big Travy had for their own league and the joy that it brought to them is the foundation of The Fantasy Whisperers brand.

Engagement and the fantasy football experience is everything to The Fantasy Whisperers. I asked John about what makes their brand unique and he said, “We don’t just give advice, we want to engage with the community and really show people the culture of what makes fantasy football so great. Drafting players and winning championships is always fun, but it’s the memories and league mates that truly makes fantasy football so much fun.” I could not agree more with this sentiment.

The dynamic duo at The Fantasy Whisperers are experienced fantasy players. Johnny “Game Time” Hicks has been playing fantasy football for over ten years. He is very passionate and wears his heart on his sleeve. As a Cardinals fan, he is very used to heartbreak. As a Seahawks fan, I am alright with this. Big Travy has been playing Fantasy Football for over 10 years as well. He loves his Green Bay Packers, winning fantasy football championships, and most importantly delivering fantasy football content for Whisper Nation as part of The Fantasy Whisperers.

The Fantasy Whisperers do not work alone in this venture. Chris Hannon, another member of “The Only League That Matters” is their website developer. Chelsea Byers is the woman behind the glass that makes sure John and Travis stay on topic. According to John, “Chelsea helps a lot with things running behind the scenes on the 24-hour Mockathon.” Austin Cyr is a regular contributor to the show and does a weekly show during the season where he runs down every team and provide “sits and starts” in under two minutes. John Kredit is the team’s excel wizard by helping with all of the stat sheets and also contributes articles for the www.TheFantasyWhisperers.com. Chase Buck writes a weekly DFS article for the website during the season.
